in the beginning...
The foundation for Evergreen Church rests on a deep spiritual connection. Jeremy and Mary first met the Lord on Easter in 2009. Years later, in 2017, Jeremy began working in full-time ministry at their local church. It was there that he met Michael. Instantly connecting over a shared passion for God, they quickly became best friends.
Michael soon met Holly, who was working at a different campus of the same church. In May 2022, Jeremy had a dream that Michael and Holly were dating, which became reality by December 2022! They married in June 2023.
Despite living in different parts of the state, the two couples committed to staying in close community. When God began stirring the idea of church planting in Tennessee, it was clear: Jeremy and Michael were being called to start this new venture together.

Where do you want to meet...
In the summer of 2023, Jeremy felt God leading him toward something new. A simple prayer—"Where do you want to meet with me?"—sparked months of scriptural searching, prayer, and solitude, ultimately drawing his heart to the Tri-Cities of Tennessee.
When the idea of church planting surfaced, Jeremy was hesitant, but Michael encouraged him to keep an open mind and "keep his yes on the table." Right before Christmas, a powerful moment of clarity in prayer solidified the call for Jeremy—and he knew it extended to Michael, too. Before the year ended, both couples found themselves walking State Street, certain that the Lord was calling them to a new beginning in Bristol.

Where we are headed...
Our year of immersion begins this summer. In 2026, we are relocating to the Tri-Cities to plant our roots deeply in the community God has called us to. Over the next year—leading up to our very first service in September 2027—our focus is simple: integrate into the community, build new friendships, and pray for the Lord of the harvest to send laborers. We invite you to partner with us in prayer as we step into this exciting next chapter of what God is doing in Northeast Tennessee.

Be a part of our story...
Join us every Sunday as we gather to worship together a 9:30 am and 11 am.
